CoD players across Black Ops 6 and Warzone have been left furious with the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration for one big reason, what some are calling the “despicable” prices.
Much like any other live service game on the market, CoD is always pushing towards its next big collaboration. This time around, with the Season 2 Reloaded patch just around the corner, Activision has unveiled another batch of cosmetics in partnership with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand.

There’s no overall bundle packaging the iconic heroes in a half shell together. Instead, players have to buy each character individually, leaving many in the community frustrated given the collective price reaches around $80 USD.

Each turtle has their own bundle, though not just any cosmetic pack. They’re featured in a Tracer Pack bundle, the most expensive in the CoD Store at around $20 apiece. Thus, in order to grab them all, you’re looking at a fairly hefty sum. It’s this very fact some CoD players have lashed out against across social media.
CoD players furious over Season 2’s new “pay-to-win” skin in Black Ops 6 & Warzone

🚨 Activision casually glossing over the fact that they want you to pay $80+ if you want the 4 Turtles, plus another $10+ if you want the TMNT event pass rewards. Call of Duty's Gross greed strikes again… DESPICABLE! 🖕 🚨

Others began to question the structure of the collab in the first place, asking why the four turtles have been separated to begin with. “They could’ve simply put out an all-in-one bundle with four Operators and additional gear like they’ve done before,” another player chimed in.

One such example of a four-in-one cosmetic bundle was shared in a reply on X (formerly Twitter), wherein, the Wubz and Friendz Tracer Pack was highlighted.
This unique pack cost 3,000 CoD Points (roughly $30), but came with four different colors of the same Operator skin, much like how the four turtles are similar in appearance, save for their unique eye masks and knee pads.

Meanwhile, others looked to draw a comparison to TMNT’s appearance in CoD with the collab in Fortnite. In the Epic Battle Royale, all four turtles can be acquired for $30 USD, as one player pointed out. Not to mention, “the game is free-to-play. Meanwhile [in CoD], you’ll lose all these skins by year’s end.”
